Getting Out of a Rut

Monday, July 6th, 2009

There are many ways of winding up in a rut.  Whether, it’s because of a single tragic episode or a series of little things that add up to something over time, we wind up in a “bad place”.

There is one sure way out however. We have to embrace the power of positive thinking. I know it’s hard, but you have to do it.

Some of us live our lives filled with incredible anger, hurt, and negativity. Our experiences leave us jaded and cynical, oftentimes dragging others down with us along the way. Though we don’t want to be this dark and despondent person, we just can’t help it at times. The pain we’ve endured is just too unbearable to let go. Then we notice, nothing good ever happens to us. Our life worsens every single day and we’re caught in this lethal downward spiral that we can’t get out of.

The truth of the matter is that we can get out of this rut that we’re stuck in. The problem is, we sometimes get too caught up in our own misery that we don’t notice the little miracles happening around us. This dark, dank, and dreary place has blinded us from seeing the good that is happening right in front of us. Get out of this dungeon and open the door that leads outside where the sun lights the way to a positive perspective.

Once we get to this place where we can just leave all of the circumstances in our life and our affairs in the hands of our personal faith and of what opportunities can offer, we can rest assured that everything is going to be okay. We know deep within our hearts and souls that this has proven to be true in the past.

We must have the motivation to make our lives different. We must inspire ourselves to do something other than what repeatedly hasn’t worked in the past. It is an act of thinking that everything works out to make us a better person. Motivation sets forth a series of miracles if we get it in our heart’s core. We must apply all these factors in our lives to rid ourselves of poverty, tensions and scarcity.

There can be a number of ways to get success or to achieve goals, but achieving it is entirely up to us. Motivation can change a man’s mind, and by looking at it in a positive light can bring a kind of hope that changes circumstances for the better. We can change our lives in so many ways, and all we must do is believe in ourselves to make things better. When we thirst for success and happiness, we will be able to see how miracles can happen. What usually stops us is our being too calculated. We depend on science and logic so much that we discount the many things that just seem to happen for no apparent reason. We look for justifications and our logical side just stops us from expecting something out of the ordinary.

Logic has successfully explained numerous phenomena, but there are still aspects that go beyond reason. We have to accept the fact that things often happen for reasons that we simply can’t explain. Be it in our faith or in our ability to just let go, we need to realize that we also deserve the good things that others are experiencing.

My only suggestion is to try it, because it has proven to be right in a number of individuals. After all, what have you got to lose? Nothing! But you can gain everything from this wonderful experience.

Connect with a Hug

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Do you believe in the power of hugs. Think back on how hugs felt as a child.

The main belief in Kabbalah is that the entire humanity is made up of shards of one whole soul. This means that man shares a portion of something that is much bigger than they are. What does this imply? It simply tells us that we are all connected in one way or another. Believers of the law of attraction say that we are connected to each other biologically, to the world chemically, and to the universe atomically. Whatever our personal beliefs are, there is one thing that holds true, and that is we all live through the power of connection.

The problem now lies in the fact that most of us suppose that we should live apart from the rest. We may interact with other people on a daily basis, but at the end of the day, we choose to handle and face our problems all on our own. Standing up for what we believe in and being accountable for the choices we make is an entirely good trait to have, but there’s a fine line between being courageous in standing up for ourselves and pushing people away simply because we don’t want to involve them in our personal issues.

Fact is, we need connections with other people, particularly with those who care for us. Even babies know this most basic need. Studies prove that babies who grow up with the power of touch become happier and healthier individuals. As adults, we have to know the importance of human contact. A hug makes a world of difference in a person’s outlook in life. Hugs connect people beyond space and beyond time. With two arms wrapped around our body, friendships can deepen and become more meaningful.

Time and distance are immaterial when it comes to connection. Though hugs may not be as easy to do for some people, we have to know that touch is a part of our five senses. A touch does not only serve our cognitive needs to familiarize ourselves more with the world, it also gives us a sense of having a richer experience in life. Touch therapists swear by it, saying that it also does wonders to our health.

The importance is, we need to know how to communicate with others beyond language. After all, words only go so far. Physical communication is way to send forth a message. With a mere embrace, we can tell people about what we really think of them. The hypothalamic area of our brain will experience a reduction of activity. When stress is present in our lives, we need a way to relax. Whatever method you employ, there is no better cure for it than a hug.

So, if you find yourself in the crossroads of your life, seek out a friend or a family member. Ask for their comfort with the simple use of their two arms. Wrap them around your waist and immediately feel the connection with another kindred soul. Try it and see for yourself just how powerful and miraculous this simple gesture can be.

The Law of Attraction in a Nutshell

The Reality behind the Law of Attraction

Life always has a way of working out. The recent success of books like The Secret and The Law of Attraction can credit the people’s enthusiasm to its increase in sales. However, many also mistake the practice this law. They’ve misconstrued the general message of these books and have led themselves to believe that they simply have to sit back, relax, and think about what they want with their lives.

As far as I’m concerned, I believe that the law can only be put to good use with action on our part. I do believe that the universe works with us when we strive to achieve all our dreams. But, it can only nudge destiny towards our way. The rest is up to us, whether we choose to meet it halfway or not. After all, no one rewards the lazy.

If we made an inventory of all the successful individuals in this world, we’ll realize that each of them went through hell and high water just to be where they are today. Whoever said that the path to success was easy couldn’t have been further from the truth. In reality, to reach our goal, we’ll have to ready ourselves with the hurdles we’ll face along the way. It’s now simply a question of how badly we want the dream to become a reality.

As go through the hole-ridden path, we sometimes will stumble along the way. We court failure when we have the kind of self-defeating attitude that leads us to believe that the more we’ll fall, the harder it’ll be to get back up. This is a shortcut to sabotaging our dreams. It’s when we shift our focus to become pessimistic that we doom ourselves to failure.

Instead of thinking of what we don’t want to happen, we should think of what we want. Putting words like don’t or no in our statement is an indication of where our focus is, and that is in the negative. On the other hand, if we make claims about things that we yet have to achieve, this can also be seen as a lie.
Positive thinking is based on the belief we WILL get what we want and that we are in the process of fulfilling our dreams. We’ve all heard of the term self-fulfilling prophecy. It is in believing that good things will come to us because we’ve already started to fashion our lives according to our personal desires.

This article, in no way, claims that success can only be measured through our monetary achievement. Winning comes in all forms and in every aspect of our lives. Be it with our personal or career paths, we can only truly say that we’ve won if, at the end of the day, we go to sleep with a happy and content heart. We truly have to understand what the law of attraction is.

Simply put, it is accepting the fact that we can do what we want and that anything is possible if we work at it. Something good can happen to us today and the miracle is already set to unfold if we open the doors to opportunities that will make us happy.
